Soccer has always been a huge part of my life, and during my junior year of high school, I didn't prioritize stretching as I should have, partly because my coach didn’t emphasize its importance. This oversight led to a severe injury that kept me out of most of the games for half the season. As captain, it was incredibly painful to watch from the sidelines. This personal experience fuels my dedication, along with the entire Alano team, to ensure that no other female athlete has to face the same challenges. We are committed to preventing such injuries and keeping you on the field, where you belong.
As a lacrosse player, I’ve witnessed the devastating impact of injuries on teammates, from losing scholarships to missing entire seasons. Notably, I've observed a higher injury rate among female teams compared to their male counterparts. That’s why, along with the Alano team, I am committed to bridging this gender gap by providing female athletes with the specialized care and attention they need.
Hi!, I'm Jasmine Haring, a senior in South Florida. I have run cross country and track for three years and know first-hand the impact sports injuries have had on my team and I. Serving as part of Alano's medical team, I work with athletes and physical therapists to curate personalized plans that athletes actually want and need.
The Alano team is made up of female athletes who have experienced injuries firsthand or witnessed their impact on others. We recognize the disparity in injury rates between female and male athletes and have conducted extensive research to understand why this gap exists. Our findings show that female athletes require more specialized attention due to the unique demands on their bodies.
That’s why we are committed to providing targeted exercises and stretches that are often overlooked. We are dedicated to bridging this gap and revolutionizing female-centric sports technology, and we want to do it together with you.
Hi! I'm Duke and I'm a senior at Unionville High School in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Me and my team co-founded Alano after we recognized a gap in the market for a cost effective alternative to traditional personal trainers and envisioned Alano to provide athletic services to under-resourced schools and clubs. (Or just to complement your athletic journey anyways). I serve as Alano's Chief Technical Officer (or just the Tech Lead), with experience in C++, Java, and HTML + CSS Web Design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our messaging aligns with our product offerings and resonates with our audience.
Experience in content strategy or management, preferably in sports or health & wellness.
Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage content projects.
In this role, you will produce engaging and dynamic content that highlights our commitment to supporting female athletes. You will create a variety of content, including articles, videos, and social media posts, to enhance user experience and promote our brand.
Proven experience in content creation, including writing, video production, and graphic design.
Strong storytelling skills and a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
